On Tuesday, December 17, 2024, PENSEC proudly organized a meaningful Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program in collaboration with DNS Computer Center at Ayer Hitam. This initiative aimed to uplift 10 students from B-40 category families by offering them free access to a 4-month basic computer training program.
The program, fully sponsored by PENSEC, reflects PENSEC’s commitment to fostering community development and bridging the digital divide. Mr. Albert, the dedicated owner of DNS Computer Center, has made it his mission to provide accessible computer education to underprivileged students since establishing the center in March this year. Despite not operating under any NGO, Mr. Albert’s efforts resonate deeply with the spirit of giving back to the community.
The selected students hail from nearby areas and attend weekly classes held on Mondays and Tuesdays. Each session is meticulously scheduled, running from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM, 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM, and 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM, ensuring flexible and effective learning opportunities. With two passionate teachers guiding the students, the program covers basic Microsoft applications, equipping them with essential digital skills to navigate the modern world.
Beyond the computer training, DNS Computer Center offers additional educational opportunities. A newly introduced tuition program for school students runs at 3:00 PM, while an engaging free school holiday program operates from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The center also hosts innovative sessions, such as Lego-based brain teaser activities, aimed at nurturing creativity and critical thinking among young minds.
